  i came across this site a while back, it is pretty interesting.. http://www.towerwatch.com/witnessing/101_questions.htm.

  i tried to show it to a few jw they wouldn't set their eyes on it.

  i simily tried talking to a jw about they would not listen.

  MadTiger, not exactly sure what you mean. I'm not that great at trying to convince people. Do you have ideas of how I can bring this stuff up in say normal conversations with people? Also without turning the conversations into a heated debate over it and having it go no where.

  I tried to show it to a few JW they wouldn't set their eyes on it. I simily tried talking to a JW about they would not listen. And a couple of times I was told "well, if there is incorrect information found in the WT we are supposed to let Jehovah fix it"

  I'm like What? Where in the bible does it say that? Who in the world would actually belive that. I mean, come one, if any other religion was to give incorrect information right away the JW would be all over it saying that it should not be followed, but when JW drop an incorrect statement or whatever it is supposed to be okay? I think right there that should be a wake up call. But I think a lot of the JW's are so trapped into they don't know how to think for themselves.

  I just wonder, is the NWT going to change again? I have the 85 version that someone gave me, I have never used it for studying. I use it for when I find stuff like this. To confirm what I read on the net is true and actually what their book says. I want to some how get the pervious version because it actually has Jesus the way he should be, worshipped.

  Field service ha... My dog would go crazy everytime a JW came to my door, but when the girl scout 's came she just sat there with a cute look on her face (my dog that is ) and would put her paw up to shake. I think it was the vibe from the JW that made my dog crazy.

  i have a question, i know chances are this has been answered in one form or another.

  but can anyone tell me, exactly or roughly how much of the bible jw's actually use.

  Talk about scandalous, making people pay for material. I thought church material is generally free. Atleast at my church we have never been asked for any amount of money for anything.

  I'm really glad I am not part of this organization. Does anyone know or have ideas , being realistic and not mean, of how to get people out of the JW's beliefs and practices. I can imagine how hard it would be for some one who has been stuck for almost thirty years. I have a friend who is a JW and I don't know how to get them to see that what they have been taught is not exactly true. He is so convinced that he is learning the absolute truth.

  When Elders go too Far...

  this is just something that really peed me off regarding the elders, is how low they are sinking to get gossip and stuff now, i was in contact with a well trusted friend of mine who used to attend meetings up until 2 years ago, his wife is still in the jw org, he was having a joke around on some text messages with me regarding my man saying "try before you buy" and so on, which i found amusing....lets just say his wife didnt...she snooped on his phone, wrote out the texts he had sent me and gave the transcript to the elders, and now he has to go before a judicial commitee.

  how wrong is that, for a start its an invasion of privacy!

  i was fuming yesterday when i found out.

  Gay men are so much fun... to shop with. They have the greatest taste in clothing. You can shop, shop, shop all day and not having to worry about making a pass at you. Me being a happy married woman make me and my husband happy to know that I can be around this guy and honestly say nothing happened. :-)

  I'm Donating BLOOD Tommorrow

  i'm donating blood tommorrow.

  there is a blood drive at my job.. i just started this new job, and no one knows that i am a jw.. it's my first time... and i dont feel guilty about or afraid of getting df'd for it either.. i like that idea that my blood can help save a life... it is a new experience, and i'm getting all nervous, like i won some prize, and tommorrow i will recieve it.

  is that weird or what?.

  I wish I wasn't so afraid of needles. I get all scared an everything. Talk about being a baby! If it wasn't for that I would donate too. I'm glad though I don't have a list of do's and don't 's that I have to follow other then what God says so.

  "hacking" the wt lib and results

  i just remembered i found a way to map the citation of bible chapters in the watchtower library (representing 30 years of wt literature).

  the results are quite interesting.. higher number means more citations of that chapter in the wt literature of the last 30 years.

  as you can see there are a few favorites .
